16 York
Located at the centre of Toronto’s dynamic and expanding business core, 16 York is a 33-storey, 870,000 sq ft office tower that is exceptional from any perspective. With Union Station just steps away, all points within the Greater Toronto Area and beyond are conveniently accessible via subway, Go Transit, Via Rail, or UP Express.
Our designs follow a minimalistic approach, providing signage where needed while taking cues from the architecture of the building. Materials and finishes for wayfinding elements were chosen in an effort to create a consistent look and feel with premium quality. Throughout the parkade, painted blue walls and suspended signage provided easily recognizable wayfinding elements to help visitors navigate through the space.
Illuminated pylons mark the entrance of the building, providing recognition to the tenants and the 16 York brand from outside the building. Pre-finished darkened stainless steel was chosen to create a sophisticated feel and to allow for illumination to emerge in the evening hours. Edge-lit tenant names and a solid surface material for the spine of the pylon highlight the design and the entrance to the building.
