Supporting Workplace Transformation
As a trusted design partner to the Government of British Columbia’s Leading Workplace Strategies initiative, Cygnus has delivered environmental graphic programs for over 30 offices across the province. Our work is integrated and intentional. Designed to support flexible work models, improve space usability, and reflect the cultural and operational needs of diverse ministry teams. Through signage, privacy solutions, and storytelling features, we help translate strategy into environments that work better for everyone who uses them.

A Forest Walk
Guided by the LWS values of flexibility and inclusion, Cygnus worked closely with ministry stakeholders, interior designers, and First Nations advisors to shape a visual narrative grounded in cultural respect and connection to place. The concept, “a walk in the forest,” informed a series of environmental graphics applied throughout both public and staff areas. Using a layered double exposure technique, the imagery blends foliage, forest textures, and natural light to create a calm and immersive atmosphere. Glazing applications were designed with varying levels of transparency, allowing daylight to move through the space while providing privacy where needed. The result is a graphic program that brings warmth, clarity, and cultural resonance to a shared government workspace.

Honouring Traditional Teachings
In collaboration with First Nations advisors, Cygnus designed five feature walls representing core traditional teachings: Respect, Truth, Wisdom, Love, and Courage. Located in privacy and interview rooms, these installations combine bold animal imagery with values-led messaging to foster trust, dignity, and connection for both staff and the communities they serve.
