Architectural Restraint
Cygnus applied a minimalist design strategy to respect and preserve the interior design vision. Where possible, text was applied directly to the wall using dark-toned aluminum letters. This unobtrusive approach allows the signage to recede visually while remaining highly legible across wood, concrete and drywall surfaces.
Design Elements
The design strategy prioritized clarity, cohesion and accessibility within a refined interior. Typography and iconography were carefully selected and crafted to support these goals. A modern, AODA-compliant typeface ensures legibility across all sign types, while a custom pictogram set reflects the gesture and proportions of the letterforms. Together, these elements create a unified system that is visually harmonious and easily understood in a multilingual environment.
Visual Refinement
Every sign was placed with consideration for sightlines, pedestrian flow and spatial rhythm. This deliberate positioning ensured maximum visibility with minimal quantity, providing intuitive navigation while avoiding the visual noise common in high-density educational environments.
