Architectural Integration
Cygnus worked closely with Shape Architecture to ensure that signage complemented the building’s overall design, especially on the exterior. Subtle yellow accents work alongside the yellow-tinted windows to continue the Canadian Cancer Society brand throughout the facade.

Subtle Strength
The signage strategy extends the organization’s identity without overpowering the space. Yellow accent panels complement the building’s tinted windows and echo the daffodil motif at the heart of the brand. Cygnus’ design approach introduced these elements sparingly, using green tones to soften brighter areas and maintain a soothing atmosphere for patients and visitors. Universal icons and clean typography support intuitive wayfinding across shared areas and private zones alike.

Layered Recognition Opportunities
Cygnus worked closely with stakeholders to identify meaningful donor recognition opportunities throughout the site. This includes subtle inlaid lettering on the Beeta Education Grandstand, dedicated donor panels in the rooftop garden, and a central wall mural featuring a full daffodil silhouette composed of layered yellow and silver plaques. These elements were designed with flexibility and hierarchy in mind, allowing future recognition to grow with the organization. The result is a unified and respectful system that honours community support while reinforcing the mission of the Canadian Cancer Society.
