Designing for Transparency
The all-glass exterior required careful consideration in selecting materials and finishes to ensure each wayfinding element complemented the space rather than competing with it. The design followed a minimalistic approach, providing signage only where needed while taking direct cues from the architecture of the building. This approach created a consistent look and feel throughout the environment while maintaining the premium quality expected in a flagship commercial property.
Arrival Experience
With multiple access routes and a dynamic downtown setting, clear arrival and movement are essential. Exterior pylons are strategically placed for visibility at both pedestrian and vehicular scales, combining dark stainless steel with internal illumination to express identity with restraint and clarity. Inside the parkade, a more assertive visual language supports intuitive navigation. Cadillac Fairview’s signature blue anchors painted walls and suspended directional signage, guiding visitors with confidence. Every element is designed to simplify the journey, aligning with the building’s refined character and ensuring seamless transitions throughout the site.
